Jumpstart Young Musicians Program

The Jumpstart Young Musicians Program at the Colburn School is a tuition-free program that provides extraordinary opportunities for low-income Los Angeles area students to pursue their music education. Jumpstart offers 120 middle school students deep instruction, mentoring and training on an instrument so they may enter high school well prepared to join 9th grade band and gain the added benefits related to the study of music – improved achievements in math, science and school overall.
