In addition to providing many necessities to students involved, such as a safe haven and a daily hot nutritious supper, the Boys & Girls Club provides daily homework help including its regionally recognized College Bound program, as well as comprehensive enrichment programming in academics, arts and athletics to the youth of Harry Bridges Span School.
Thanks to a partnership with the Harmony Project, the after-school program includes year-round band practice and performance opportunities to youth, grades K-8. The Boys & Girls Club College Bound program prepares children to start their post-graduation plans. The program includes intensive case management, workshops and college exposure field trips. Finally the Boys & Girls Club at Harry Bridges Span School offers athletic opportunities from daily recreational activities to opportunities to join award winning teams. The school’s cheerleading team, part of the after-school program, has won first place at several regional competitions.
